What a dream to make a dream space for kids!
This client had an attic space they had begin converting into a playroom but they dreamt of built-in beds in one part of the space for cousin sleepovers and of more storage for toys.
We were able to use the slope of the attic ceiling to our advantage and utilize the difficult space for pull out drawers.

We started by framing in where the drawers would go.

Due to the HVAC, I created a air conditioning register in the same dimensions of the drawers so that it would blend seamlessly with the design.

At the last minute, the client picked up some fun LED lighting that I was able to hide with some trim. I love how it turned out! A great idea!

The built-in beds constructed to fit a full size bed on the top and twin trundle underneath.

The completed beds in the finished room.

I asked the client what their plan was for this area over the stairs and they hadn't gotten that far in their planning - I suggested a floor to ceiling decorative railing that would keep the kids safe.

We were able to use some of their old barn wood for the design - free materials are always great!
